The Cryptera EPP 1315 is an extremely versatile Encrypting PIN Pad that is applicable for use in a number of self-service devices, including ATMs, kiosks, self-ticketing machines, financial services kiosks and pay-at-the-pump stations. The EPP 1315 is PCI -approved and enables manufacturers of self-service devices to process Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) debit transactions safely and securely as well as adhere to Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance standards. Visa required U.S. self-service deployers who accept debit to comply with PCI standards and have encrypting PIN Pads installed at the pump by July 2010 to avoid costly penalties.
The EPP 1315 features an ADA-compliant, Braille-equipped keyboard with colored graphics that can be embossed. The unit also has four screw holes for mounting and a built in watertight gasket to combat the elements in outdoor installations. Like all Cryptera Encrypting PIN Pads, the EPP 1315 supports Remote Key Loading from Cryptera, giving customers an open-standard, flexible on-line key loading solution that is more secure and cost-effective than traditional dual-control split knowledge key installation and maintenance.
